Aditya chats with activist and actor Jonathan Peck about catalyzing activism, recent responses to police brutality, and the parallels of his protest experiences to the film adaptation of The Hate U Give (2018).
Jonathan Peck is a New York born-and-raised actor, athlete, dancer, activist, and abolitionist. He has been studying and performing in the arts for over a decade after attending the University of Albany and Miesner-based William Esper Studio in Midtown Manhattan. He also makes frequent appearances on the stage, having produced and acted in multiple plays throughout New York City. He continues to fight for social justice and the abolition of the prison and police systems, in addition to the overall systems in this country that have been built on institutional racism.
